Course Description

Introduction to video editing using Adobe Premiere Pro CC. It will take you from the very beginning of opening Premiere Pro CC and learning the various panel windows to editing clips, performing audio work, color correction, creating sequence presets, titles, keyboard shortcuts, exporting, and much more.

Who is this course for?

• This Premiere Pro video editing course is meant for beginners who want to learn how to edit. No prior video editing knowledge is required.
• This course is also for people who may be already familiar with editing, but wants to make the switch to Premiere Pro.
• This course is NOT for a professional Video Editor who already knows how to use Premiere Pro.

Training Ouctcomes (Including Certification)

• Ability to understand the video editing workflow: Students will learn the basic concepts of video editing, such as importing footage, cutting, trimming, transitions, audio editing, color correction, and exporting.
• Familiarity with the Premiere Pro interface: Students will be able to navigate the Premiere Pro interface, understand the function of each panel, and know how to customize the workspace according to their needs.
• Knowledge of video and audio formats: Students will learn about different video and audio formats, their advantages, and their compatibility with various devices. They will also learn how to choose the best settings for their project and how to optimize their workflow.
• Mastery of basic video editing techniques: Students will learn how to cut and trim video clips, add transitions, adjust audio levels, apply effects and filters, add text and graphics, and color grade their footage.
• Understanding of storytelling and visual communication: Students will learn how to create a coherent story using their footage, how to use pacing, timing, and framing to create emotional impact, and how to communicate their ideas visually.
• Knowledge of project management: Students will learn how to manage their project files, create backups, organize their media, and collaborate with other editors.
• Confidence in using Premiere Pro: Students will gain confidence in using Premiere Pro, understanding its full potential, and realizing how they can use it to create their own videos.
• Portfolio of edited videos: By the end of the course, students will have created a portfolio of edited videos, which they can use to showcase their skills and attract potential clients or employers.
